Should i cut him out of my life?

Well, from a guy's perspective, it sounds like he wants the benefits of a relationship without the effort that relationships need. If he's not willing to put the effort into it, I'm sure you can find someone who will. get rid of him...as painful as that may be, at least he won't stop you from landing someone who will actually want to be with you.
